Hey AI ("we", "us", "Hey AI") provides a voice-AI platform that places scheduled phone calls, on-demand voice conversations, and SMS-based voice recordings to users. Calls are conducted by AI assistants — referred to here as "your AI Squad" — that may speak in cloned celebrity-style voices, voices you have personally cloned, or pre-built characters. By creating an account or using any part of the platform (this website, the SPA at hey.ai, our APIs, our outbound phone calls, or our SMS recordings), you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You may set up character calls for children in your household using our Kids tier — but the account holder is the adult, and the adult is responsible for all parental consent. See Section 9 (Kids).
By providing your phone number and scheduling calls, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated voice calls and SMS messages from Hey AI at the number you provided, using artificial or pre-recorded voice messages and automatic dialing technology, for the schedule you configure. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can stop calls at any time by disabling them in Settings or by replying STOP to any SMS. We retain a record of your consent timestamp.
All speech, text, and recordings produced during your use of Hey AI are generated by AI language models and synthesized voices. Outputs may be inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for important decisions. Hey AI is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or otherwise). Voices that imitate public figures (celebrity-style personas) are AI imitations for personal use only, not endorsements. You agree not to use platform outputs to deceive others or for any unlawful purpose.
You may upload audio samples of your own voice or voices of people who have given you permission, in order to create cloned voices. You represent and warrant that you have obtained explicit consent from any person whose voice you upload. Voice samples and cloned voice models are biometric identifiers under several state and national laws. Submitting another person's voice without their consent is a misuse of the platform and may violate applicable laws. We reserve the right to refuse or delete cloned voices at our discretion. You may request deletion of your own voice models at any time via Settings.
To make calls personalized, you may connect third-party services (Google Calendar, Gmail, Plaid banking, Spotify, Todoist, Notion, social media exports, etc.). When you connect a service, you authorize Hey AI to read the data your AI Squad needs to assemble your calls (e.g. today's calendar events for the morning briefing). We do not sell your connected-service data. We use it only to operate the platform. You may disconnect any service at any time.
Calls placed by Hey AI may be recorded and transcribed for your reference, billing, quality assurance, and product improvement. By using the service, you consent to recording and transcription of calls between you and your AI Squad. Some U.S. states require two-party consent — by accepting these Terms you provide that consent for both yourself and the AI participant. Recordings and transcripts are stored in your account and visible in "Conversation Log" / "Recordings". You can delete individual recordings.
See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and store your data. You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. Account deletion is available in Settings — your account is queued and processed within 30 days. California (CCPA), Colorado, Virginia, and EU/UK (GDPR) residents have additional rights, all of which you may exercise by contacting us at the address below.
Hey AI is not intended for use by children under 18. Our Kids tier lets parents schedule calls from kid-friendly characters (e.g. cartoon characters, Santa) to their children. The parent must be the account holder. Parents are responsible for obtaining any consent required under COPPA or other applicable laws before allowing their child to receive a call. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
Hey AI is offered with a free trial during beta and paid subscriptions thereafter. Pricing is displayed at checkout and managed through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through Settings or via the Stripe customer portal. Refunds are issued at our discretion; beta promotional pricing is not guaranteed beyond the stated term.
You will not use Hey AI to:
Hey AI and its licensors retain all rights to the platform, software, models, and non-user-generated content. You retain ownership of content you upload (voice samples, documents, prompts) and grant Hey AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and use that content for the limited purpose of operating the platform on your behalf.
The platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults, and Hey AI makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI outputs, uninterrupted service, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hey AI's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amounts you paid Hey AI in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater. Hey AI is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or substitute services.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hey AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of voice cloning or impersonation features; (c) your placement of calls or messages without proper consent; or (d) content you upload, generate, or distribute through the platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except where otherwise required by law. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
